In Pure Encapsulations® Quercetin phytosorb, the quercetin is obtained from Japanese string tree extract. The Japanese string tree, also known as the pearl string tree or honey tree, is a plant species that is of particular interest in scientific research due to the secondary plant substance quercetin, which is extracted from the tree. Quercetin belongs to the group of flavonoids and is the subject of intensive research due to its potential positive effects on the immune system and histamine metabolism. Its possible parallels to antioxidants are also part of the research. As a bioactive plant substance, quercetin can help to regenerate vitamins E and C. This process is also known as "redox recycling"

Increased bioavailability

The phospholipids used in Quercetin phytosorb are derived from sunflower lecithin. Lecithin is also naturally present in the body and is a component of cell membranes, which further increases its tolerability and effectiveness. By embedding quercetin in phospholipids, improved absorption and utilisation in the body and optimised bioavailability due to phospholipids are achieved.
