The raw material contained in Pure Encapsulations® Astaxanthin is extracted from the Hawaiian blood rain algae. Astaxanthin belongs to the group of carotenoids, of which there are over 600 different types in nature, and is responsible for the red colouring of crustaceans, among other things. Like all Pure Encapsulations® products, astaxanthin is produced according to strict international standards. In order to ensure the high product quality in the long term and sustainably, the entire process from production to storage is continuously monitored. Internal and external quality controls are carried out at every single step.
