The birth of a child is a time of joy and a period of adjustment – for everyone. For the parents-to-be, but also for the baby. After all, the baby has to gradually experience everything in a new environment through their senses.
Parents want to support their baby as best they can through every stage of development. They soon learn to recognise what different cries might mean: hunger, a wet nappy, feeling cold, feeling hot – or tummy ache?
Of course, a baby’s digestion also has to adjust to this ‘new world’. So many factors play a part:
- The food they’re given.
- The lifestyle and environment into which they are born.
- The bacteria from the environment that affect them.
- And finally, on the developing microbiome – that is, the composition of bacteria in the stomach and gut.
And this is a period of adjustment for your baby during the first few months, which should normally proceed in a well-balanced way.
A baby’s tummy in balance
However, there are also phases observed in infants during which this balance is disrupted. This leads to what is known as dysbiosis in the stomach and gut – an imbalance that causes problems, meaning that tummy ache in babies is not uncommon. They cry more, wriggle and may find it harder to sleep.
A product has been developed specifically for this stage of life – the phase when your baby’s gut flora is establishing itself: pegaso® Baby. Our aim is to make this difficult period of gut adjustment easier for your baby.
pegaso® Baby from birth
pegaso® Baby is precisely tailored to the challenges faced by a baby’s gut: it provides the necessary gut bacteria, soothes discomfort with the help of the tried-and-tested medicinal plant chamomile, and can be given to babies from birth in the form of drops. The package leaflet contains detailed instructions on how to prepare the product. The lactic acid bacteria must be mixed with the natural solution before administration. This ensures the product’s stability and guarantees simple, accurate dosing.

Usage
- The product can be taken by children from birth.
- It canbeadministered 1–2 times a day, 7 drops at a time.
- The maximum recommended daily dose (14 drops) contains up to 2,000 million CFU* of live lactic acid bacteria.
- The drops can be administered directly into the mouth or mixed with water, milk or warm drinks (the temperature should be below 37 °C). Do not mix the drops with hot drinks. Shake well before use.
How to use pegaso® Baby correctly:
To ensure shelf life, the lactic acid bacteria are stored separately from the solution in their own cap. Before first use, it is necessary to mix the lactic acid bacteria with the solution. Therefore, follow these steps:
- Screw the white cap on tightly in a clockwise direction until you hear a ‘click’ and the white plastic ring breaks. Then screw the cap further clockwise; this opens the upper part of the lid’s interior, which contains the lactic acid bacteria.
- The lactic acid bacteria will now flow from the reservoir into the bottle. Shake the sealed bottle thoroughly so that the lactic acid bacteria mix evenly with the solution.
- Unscrew the white cap anti-clockwise, remove it and screw the supplied dropper cap onto the bottle.
- The oral suspension is now ready for administration. Shake well before each use!
Notes: Before opening, store in a dry place at a maximum of 25 °C and keep out of the reach of children. Once opened, store the product either in a cool place at a temperature of no more than 25 °C and use it within one month, or in the fridge at 4 °C and use it within two months. Please note the best-before date on the packaging. Our unique, patented sealing system helps to maintain the vitality and stability of the lactic acid bacteria.
