Coldistop Nasal Oil stimulates blood circulation in the nasal mucosa. Vitamin A plays an important role in the formation of new mucous membrane cells and in mucous membrane production. Vitamin E supports the effect of vitamin A. Thanks to the combination of vitamin A and vitamin E, Coldistop alleviates the symptoms of irritated, acutely or permanently damaged nasal mucous membranes. Essential oils provide a pleasant aroma.

Coldistop nasal oil is used

• to support the treatment of acute and chronic rhinitis, especially dry rhinitis and when the nasal mucosa is damaged by a cold;
• for supplementary and intermittent treatment if you are also using nasal drops containing decongestants;
• for the long-term treatment of a runny nose (a condition in which the nasal mucosa regresses). COLDISTOP is used here to soften and remove crusts and dried secretions on the nasal mucosa.
• for dry throat inflammation (epipharyngitis sicca, pharyngitis chronica sicca),
• for tampon treatment of the inner nasal and sinus cavities after operations, e.g. after nasal septum operations, maxillary sinus operations, etc.,
• to protect the nasal mucosa if you are particularly exposed to dust and exhaust fumes.

How to use

• Adults and adolescents (from 12 to 18 years): instil 1 - 2 drops into each nostril 2 - 3 times a day. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 6 drops per nostril!
• Pregnant women, nursing mothers and women of childbearing age without contraceptive protection: Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 5 drops per nostril and divide into several doses daily (see also "Pregnancy and breastfeeding")!
• Children from 6 to 12 years: instil 1 drop into each nostril twice a day. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 2 drops per nostril!
• The use of COLDISTOP is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

Method of application

For nasal application.

• After thorough nasal cleansing (blowing your nose), tilt your head back, drip COLDISTOP nasal oil into the nostrils using the pipette and then distribute it in the nose by pressing the nostrils several times. Only release the pressure from the rubber aspirator after removing the pipette from the nose in order to avoid contamination of the medication. If possible, rinse the pipette with hot water after use.
• COLDISTOP can also be distributed in the nose with a cotton bud or lightly rubbed in with a clean finger.
• For tamponade: The tampons are soaked with COLDISTOP nasal oil before insertion, whereby antibiotics in powder form can also be added at the same time if necessary.

Duration of use

• If there is no improvement after one week, please inform your doctor. He or she will decide on the further course of treatment.

Suitable for use in children and adolescents from 6 years of age and adults.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients are: Vitamin A palmitate, vitamin E acetate. 1 ml contains: Vitamin A palmitate8.25 mg (=15,000 I.U.), vitamin E acetate 20.00 mg. The other ingredients are: Peanut oil, isopropyl myristate, purcellin oil, sweet orange peel oil, terpineol, lemon oil.
• 1 drop (= 0.03 ml) contains 450 I.U. vitamin A palmitate.
