DAILY MOUTH RINSE FOR GUM CARE
To maintain good gum condition and prevent possible inflammation (peri-implantitis), we recommend the daily parodoc® PROIMPLANT® mouth rinse.
The parodoc® mouth rinse contains the antibacterial ingredient most frequently recommended by dentists.
This is released continuously for hours, providing protection against harmful bacteria over a longer period of time.
It also contains sage and clove oil, which have antibacterial and anti-irritant properties. Fluoride and xylitol provide the necessary protection against tooth decay.
GUMS AND IMPLANTS
- The gums are the foundation of our teeth. Special care is particularly necessary for gum problems (bleeding gums, inflammation, periodontitis) and implants. Up to 20% of all implant recipients develop a special gum inflammation (known as peri-implantitis) in the area surrounding the implant, which can jeopardise the retention of the dental prosthesis and even lead to the total loss of this expensive investment.
HEALTHY IMPLANT
- For the long-term preservation of your implants, it is crucial that the implants remain stable and anchored in the bone without inflammation.
PERI-IMPLANTITIS
- Inflammation around dental implants (peri-implantitis) that remains untreated can lead to the total loss of the implant.
CLOVE OIL
- Clove oil has been used as a remedy since ancient times due to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and disinfectant properties.
- It also has a mild anaesthetic effect, which is why it was also used as a local anaesthetic in earlier times. It was therefore frequently used in dentistry. The substance responsible for these effects is called eugenol. It is present in 70 - 85 % of clove oil and is effective against fungi, viruses and bacteria.
SAGE
- Sage contains both antibacterial essential oil and astringent tannins. In the mouth and throat area, sage is number 1 and has been for a long time. Before the toothbrush was invented, people used to clean their mouths with a sage leaf.
- Sage strengthens the gums, has an antiseptic effect, prevents bleeding gums and flavours the mouth.
