Before all invasive procedures

• Apply octeniderm® undiluted
• Spray the affected skin area or alternatively rub with a soaked swab
• Ensure complete wetting of the skin
• Observe exposure times according to the area of application

Before joint punctures and during preoperative skin antisepsis

• Shorten hair on the affected skin area mechanically or remove it chemically
• Pre-operative washing (e.g. with octenisan®) recommended

For post-operative suture care

Application

For external use on intact skin. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date. Flammable. Do not bring into contact with flames or switched-on electrical heat sources. Before injections, punctures, excisions, etc. When used before glucose tests (e.g. haemogluco sticks), allow the preparation to dry well to avoid any possible impairment of the measurement results. Before joint punctures and during preoperative skin antisepsis When using thermocautery or other electrical devices, ensure sufficient drying. When using incision foils, ensure sufficient drying before applying the foil so as not to impair adhesion. During hygienic and surgical hand disinfection, keep hands well moistened during the entire application time.
