Areas of application

The product is suitable for disinfecting medical devices and other surfaces. Due to its good material compatibility, the product is particularly suitable for alcohol-sensitive surfaces.

For medical inventory as defined by the Medical Devices Act (MPG):

• Surfaces of non-immersible medical devices such as stethoscopes or ultrasound heads for abdominal examinations, as well as acrylic glass.
• For semi-critical medical devices (e.g. vaginal probes), a final virucidal disinfection must be carried out afterwards.

For surfaces in accordance with the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR):

• sensitive work surfaces in hospitals, medical and dental practices and ambulances
• Small work surfaces in retirement and nursing homes and medical laboratories

Special instructions

Use disinfectant with care. Always read the label and product information before use. The suitability of the product with regard to its spectrum of activity must be tested separately. The following applies to surface disinfectants: "Disinfectants differ in terms of their spectrum of activity on microorganisms, among other things. This must be taken into account in the respective areas when selecting a suitable preparation." Please note that there are known cases of bacterial strains that show reduced sensitivity or tolerance to disinfectants. In such cases, products based on quaternary ammonium compounds may not be sufficiently effective. Therefore, schülke recommends mikrozid® PAA wipes or mikrozid® AF wipes for disinfection of surfaces in high-risk areas (e.g. intensive care, haemato-oncology, neonatology or burns units), which cover a particularly broad spectrum of efficacy due to their properties. Not suitable for disinfecting invasive medical devices. Refilling First disinfect your hands and put on fresh protective gloves. During the refilling process, please ensure that the gloves are not contaminated by other activities. The lid cap must be reprocessed for each refill. During reprocessing, it is disinfected with an alcohol-based surface disinfectant. Furthermore, when refilling, care should be taken to ensure that the wipe roll including the bag packaging is placed in the application box. Furthermore, schülke recommends not using refill bags for high-risk areas.

Thoroughly wipe the surface with the soaked wipe and allow the active ingredient solution to take effect. Ensure complete wetting. In the case of norovirus, keep the surface moist for the entire contact time. Ensure that all visible soiling is removed before disinfection. Pay attention to hygiene aspects when opening and threading the first wipe. After use, ensure that the lid flap is properly closed. schülke guarantees a shelf life of 3 months after the packaging has been opened, provided it is handled appropriately.
