ipalat® Hydro Med akut lozenges provide fast and reliable relief from a tickly cough, hoarseness and a sore throat. The innovative Hydro effect forms a protective film on the irritated mucous membrane and provides immediate relief.

ipalat® Hydro Med Acute lozenges contain the active ingredients gum arabic, hydroxyethylcellulose, hyaluronic acid and carrageenan. Slowly sucking or gently chewing ipalat® Hydro Med Acute stimulates saliva production intensively. The active ingredients contained in the lozenge bind moisture and alter the flow properties of saliva. The resulting gel-like complex forms a protective film over the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat (Hydro-effect) and effectively moisturises them. At the same time, these areas are protected from further irritants and are allowed to soothe themselves. Symptoms such as a sore throat, hoarseness, a tickly cough and a dry mouth are thus relieved. The lozenges also contain natural flavourings, i.e. herbal extracts from primrose root, star anise and fennel, which further stimulate saliva production.

Indications

ipalat® Hydro Med Acute lozenges are used to relieve:

• painful symptoms associated with inflammation in the mouth and throat, such as swelling, redness, a sore throat, difficulty swallowing, 
• hoarseness, 
• coughing, 
• dry mouth 
• and to protect the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat from further irritants.

Directions for use

• Depending on requirements, adults and children aged 6 years and over may take one ipalat® Hydro Med akut lozenge several times a day, e.g. every 2–3 hours. Up to 6 lozenges may be taken daily. It is recommended to suck the lozenges slowly or chew them gently between meals to achieve the optimum effect.
• Method and duration of use: Please suck or chew ipalat® Hydro Med akut lozenges gently until they have completely dissolved to allow the ‘Hydro’ effect to work effectively. The lozenges should not be swallowed whole.
• Notes: ipalat® Hydro Med akut lozenges contain sucralose and the sugar substitute maltitol. If you have an intolerance to certain sugars, please consult your doctor before using these lozenges. One lozenge contains 0.07 bread units (BU).
