hafesan Visio Plus - Lutein capsules are a dietary supplement that has been specially developed for eye health. They contain the natural ingredients lutein, zeaxanthin, beta-carotene and vitamins C, E and zinc.

hafesan Visio Plus capsules contain the natural ingredients lutein, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene as well as vitamins C, E and zinc. Lutein and zeaxanthin are important components of the macula lutea in the eye (site of sharpest vision). Lutein, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene are carotenoids and are colouring agents that are widely distributed in the plant kingdom. However, they cannot be produced by the body itself. Experts therefore recommend regular intake of these important substances.
- *Vitamin A (contained in the form of beta-carotene) is a component of the visual pigment and is therefore very important for maintaining vision and is therefore often referred to as the "eye vitamin". Vitamin A also supports the maintenance of healthy skin and mucous membranes.
- Zinc is an essential trace element and an important cell protection factor ("free radical scavenger"). Free radicals are formed during many metabolic reactions in the body and through environmental pollution (e.g. radiation, pollutants). Like vitamins C and E, zinc is one of the antioxidants that protect the cells, including those in the eye, from this oxidative stress.
- Vitamin C makes an important contribution to the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E, so that vitamin E can be used again as an antioxidant ("radical scavenger") in the body.
