Oat bran consists of the valuable outer layers of the oat grain (fruit skin, seed coat and aleurone layer), the germ and the outer layers of the endosperm.

Oat bran is said to have a cholesterol-lowering effect, as the substances it contains are able to bind bile acid and increase its excretion. As a result, the liver produces more bile acid from cholesterol reserves in the body. This can have a favourable effect on cholesterol levels.

gittis Organic Oat Bran can be added to many dishes, such as thickened soups, sauces, salads, baked goods, compotes, porridges, etc., thanks to its neutral flavour and particularly large flakes.

What is so special about gittis BIO oat bran?

• Oat bran consists of the valuable outer layers of the oat grain (fruit skin, seed coat and aleurone layer), the seedling and the outer layers of the endosperm.
• The naturally occurring beta-glucans in oat bran contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 3g beta-glucans from oat bran.

How to use

We recommend consuming two 25g portions of gittis BIO oat bran per day. The positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 3 g of beta-glucans from oat bran. Two portions of gittis BIO oat bran of 25 g each cover the daily intake.
