Special notes
Medical lubricating gels (with or without a local anaesthetic effect) are frequently used during endoscopic examinations. If gigazyme® X·tra working solutions and concentrates come into contact with such gels, there is a risk of precipitation. This reaction can generally occur with all products containing cationic disinfectant active ingredients. Therefore, mixing products should be avoided, or gel residues should be thoroughly rinsed off. Please contact our customer service team to enquire which lubricating gels are compatible.

Solution
Application
gigazyme® X•tra is diluted with cold water to the desired concentration for use. The concentration for use of gigazyme® X•tra is 1–2% (10–20 g/l water). Place endoscopes and instruments to be reprocessed into the gigazyme® X•tra solution immediately after use. Ensure that they are completely immersed, including hollow instruments, and allow the solution to take effect. After cleaning, rinse the instruments thoroughly with water of at least drinking water quality, preferably with sterile distilled water or fully deionised water, to completely remove any residues of the cleaning solution. Please follow the reprocessing recommendations of the instrument manufacturers. Replace the working solution daily or when it is visibly soiled. Do not mix gigazyme® X•tra with disinfectants or other cleaning agents. Not suitable for final disinfection of semi-critical and critical medical devices!
