Special information

Medical lubricating gels (with or without local anaesthetic effect) are often used during endoscopic examinations. If working solutions and concentrates of gigazyme® X-tra come into contact with such gels, there is a possibility of precipitation. This reaction can generally occur with all products containing cationic disinfectants. Therefore, any mixing of products should be avoided and gel residues should be rinsed off thoroughly. Please contact our customer service to find out which lubricating gels are compatible.

How to use

Dilute gigazyme® X-tra with cold water to the desired application concentration. The application concentration of gigazyme® X-tra is 1 - 2 % (10 - 20 g/l water). Place endoscopes and instruments to be reprocessed in the gigazyme® X-tra solution immediately after use. Ensure complete wetting, even with hollow-body instruments, and allow to take effect. After cleaning, rinse/rinse the instruments thoroughly with water of at least drinking water quality, preferably with sterile distilled or demineralised water, to completely remove any residues of the cleaning solution. Please follow the instrument manufacturer's reprocessing recommendations. Replace the working solution daily or if it is clearly visibly soiled. gigazyme® X-tra must not be mixed with disinfectants and other cleaning agents. Not suitable for final disinfection of semi-critical and critical medical devices!

Ingredients

100 g concentrate contains the following active ingredients: 7.7 g didecyldimethylammonium chloride, 0.4 g polyhexamethylene biguanide. Contains subtilisin, polyhexamethylene biguanide. May cause allergic reactions. Labelling according to Regulation (EC) 648/2004: 5 - 15 % non-ionic surfactants, enzymes, fragrances.
