Areas of application

For manual disinfecting pre-cleaning and manual disinfection of all types of thermostable and thermolabile instruments (except flexible endoscopes). Due to its excellent cleaning performance - especially in the ultrasonic bath - and its comprehensive microbiological effectiveness, gigasept® instru AF offers all the important product properties for instrument reprocessing in clinics and practices.

Special instructions

Always read the label and product information before use. If working solutions and concentrates of gigasept® instru AF come into contact with other products (especially those containing aldehyde), there is a possibility of precipitation/discolouration/loss of efficacy. Any mixing of products should therefore be avoided. When using gigasept® instru AF for the first time, we therefore recommend rinsing all application aids and tubs carefully with water. Do not use the product after the expiry date.

How to use

gigasept® instru AF is a concentrate and is diluted with cold water to the desired application concentration. Dosage / application example: 1.5 % - 4 % depending on the degree of effectiveness. 1 litre of a 3 % working solution corresponds to 970 ml water and 30 ml gigasept® instru AF. Place endoscopes and instruments to be reprocessed in the gigasept® instru AF solution immediately after use. Ensure complete wetting, even with hollow-body instruments, and allow to take effect. After cleaning, rinse/rinse the instruments thoroughly with water of at least drinking water quality, preferably with sterile distilled or demineralised water, to completely remove any residues of the cleaning solution. Please observe the instrument manufacturer's reprocessing recommendations. According to Krinko/BfArM recommendations, cleaning and disinfection must be carried out in separate steps. Not suitable for the final disinfection of semi-critical and critical medical devices! Service life: A service life of 7 days applies if the application solution is used exclusively for the disinfection of previously cleaned instruments. If the application solution is used for cleaning, it must be replaced every working day and when contamination is clearly visible. Ultrasonic cleaning: gigasept® instru AF is particularly suitable for use in ultrasonic devices. The chemical stability of the product is guaranteed. Tests have shown that gigasept® instru AF can achieve very good cleaning results after just a few seconds. You can request corresponding reports from us. Do not heat the working solution above 40 °C.

100 g solution contains the following active ingredients: 15.6 g cocospropylenediamine guanidine diacetate, 35 g phenoxypropanols, 2.5 g benzalkonium chloride.
