ferrumed® contains the purely plant-based curry leaf iron with high bioavailability and very good tolerability. Iron supports the formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, ensures normal oxygen transport in the body and reduces tiredness and symptoms of fatigue. Vitamin C increases iron absorption and copper ensures normal iron transport in the body. Folic acid is also involved in cell division and supports haematopoiesis.
Active ingredients
- The curry leaf tree (Murraya koenigii) is an iron-rich plant native to the Indian subcontinent. Due to its special structure, curry leaf iron is particularly well absorbed by the body and is very well tolerated.
- The trace element iron is an important component of numerous enzyme groups and contributes to a normal energy metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Iron supports the formation of red blood cells and red blood pigment (haemoglobin) and ensures normal oxygen transport in the body.
- Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron and also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin C also protects the cells from oxidative stress ("free radicals").
- Copper contributes to normal iron transport in the body and, like vitamin C, protects the cells from oxidative stress.
- Folic acid (vitamin B9) is a component of numerous coenzymes and fulfils important functions in cell division. Cells with a high division rate, such as blood cells, are particularly dependent on a sufficient supply of folic acid. Folic acid therefore also contributes to healthy haematopoiesis.
- Glucosaminoglycans are amino sugars that occur naturally in the human body. According to new studies, certain sugar compounds can facilitate the absorption of iron from food.

How to use
- In the first two months, it is recommended to take 2 capsules daily before meals with sufficient liquid. After that, 1 capsule once a day is sufficient.
- Tip: Taking ferrumed® together with tea, coffee, high-fibre foods, rhubarb and spinach impairs the absorption of iron. If you are taking antibiotics, antacids or Parkinson's medication at the same time, you should take ferrumed® at least 3 hours apart.
- Note: ferrumed® is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Not suitable as the sole source of nutrition. Store in a cool, dry place away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
