FemiLoges® enteric-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product containing the active ingredient: rhapontic rhubarb root dry extract, for the relief of menopausal symptoms in women, such as hot flushes.

This medicinal product contains rhapontic rhubarb root dry extract (root of Rheum rhaponticum L.). Herbal medicinal product for the relief of menopausal symptoms in women, such as hot flushes. The menopause is the time that marks the end of the menstrual cycles. Menopausal symptoms occur in the transitional period before and after the menopause.

Rhubarb plants have been known as medicinal plants for more than 4000 years. Siberian rhubarb (rhubarb rhaponticum) originally comes from the temperate zones of Asia. It was only brought to Europe in the 17th century and now also grows in the southern parts of Norway, Bulgaria and Siberia. The medicinal properties of this plant have been known for centuries. Rhubarb rhaponticum is mainly used to treat menopausal symptoms.

• Dosage for adult women: The recommended dose is 1 enteric-coated tablet of femiLoges once daily.
• Use in children and adolescents: This medicinal product must not be used in children and adolescents.
• Route of administration: femiLoges should be taken whole with sufficient liquid (e.g. a glass of water), ideally at the same time each day. Take it at least half an hour before breakfast or 1 - 2 hours before other meals.
• Duration of administration: If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 months, consult your doctor. femiLoges should not be taken for longer than 6 months without medical advice.

Ingredients

• What femiLoges contains - The active substance is: Each enteric-coated tablet contains 4 mg extract (as dry extract, refined) of Rheum rhaponticum L., radix (rhapontic rhubarb root) (DEV 16-26:1), corresponding to: 2.2 - 2.6 mg rhaponticin 1.0 - 1.5 mg deoxyrhaponticin Extraction solvent: aqueous solution of calcium oxide (ratio calcium oxide:water 1:38 (m/m)).
• The other ingredients are: calcium carbonate, carnauba wax, lactose monohydrate, macrogol, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid - methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:1), microcrystalline cellulose, sodium lauryl sulphate, povidone, sucrose, talc, triethyl citrate.
