enzymed® Digestion is a high-quality dietary supplement and was specially developed to promote the absorption and digestion of macronutrients such as fats, proteins, complex carbohydrates, peptides, disaccharides (disaccharides) and plant fibres. It also supports people with food intolerances and allergies (including lactose, gluten and fructose), irritable bowel syndrome, leaky gut syndrome, flatulence and reduced appetite. People who are hypersensitive for various reasons suffer from food intolerances and/or allergies, an irritated or permeable gut, chronic inflammation and/or autoimmune diseases. In these people, the combination of enzymes contained in Enzymed® Digestion (which acts mainly in the intestine) accelerates the repair of the stomach, leading to a reduction in hypersensitivity to nutrients and a reduction in intestinal problems.

The enzyme-plant complex and its functions

Enzymes for carbohydrates:

• Amylase breaks down starch and glycogen in food.

Enzymes for sugar:

• Glucoamylase breaks down simple glucose from long sugar chains.
• Lactase breaks down lactose from dairy products into galactose and glucose.
• Invertase breaks down sugar (sucrose) into glucose and fructose.
• Maltase splits maltose (double sugar) into two glucose molecules.

Enzymes for plant fibres:

• Cellulase breaks down cellulose (the main component of plant cell walls) into smaller components.
• Hemicellulase breaks down various components of plants that consist of cellulose derivatives.
• Alpha-galactosidase promotes the digestion of complex carbohydrate molecules from beans, cabbage and nuts.
• Phytase breaks down phytic acid from plants. This increases the absorption of iron, zinc, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and sodium from plants, nuts, seeds and grains.

Enzymes for proteins and peptides:

• Protease and peptidase break down proteins into amino acids. They ensure better digestion of meat, fish and pulses.

Enzymes for fatty acids:

• Lipase breaks down fats into short-chain fatty acids.

Artichoke:

• Artichoke promotes liver function, lowers cholesterol and stimulates bile production to aid fat digestion and prevent the formation of gallstones (EFSA-3703).

Dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV):

• DPP-IV promotes the breakdown of gluten, casein (milk protein) and exorphins (casomorphin and gluteomorphin).

Ginger:

• Ginger promotes digestion and contributes to the normal function of the gastrointestinal tract. Ginger reduces nausea, also very specific for travel sickness or morning sickness during pregnancy.

• take 1-2 tablets 3 times a day with or after a meal, unchewed, with sufficient liquid.
• Advice: Can be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Not suitable for children under 6 years of age. enzymed® Digestion contains no maltodextrin, wheat, rice or maize and no fruit enzymes (bromelain, papain or kiwi) in order to increase tolerability for hypersensitive persons.
