colomed® Probiokids Sachets are a food supplement with 3 highly concentrated bacterial strains, maize dextrin (nutriose) and amylase for pregnant women and babies. Vegan symbiotic (pre + probiotic).
colomed® Probiokids was specially developed for pregnant women and babies to support and accelerate the development of the natural intestinal flora. 80% of human immune cells are found in the intestinal tract. A healthy and properly developed intestinal flora is the basic prerequisite for a functioning defence system of the organism.
The intake should be started in the third trimester of pregnancy and continued immediately after the birth, either by the breastfeeding mother taking colomed® Probiokids or by giving it directly to the baby as a supplement to the bottle feed (do not heat above 40°C). For pregnant women and babies, there are many years of clear experience and scientific studies that prove its effectiveness.
colomed® Probiokids contains 3 active and reproducible bacterial strains for targeted daily supplementation. The prebiotic fibre Nutriose®, like amylase, serves as a readily available food source for the bacterial strains and ensures strong multiplication of the healthy bacterial strains and effective colonisation of the intestine. The strains Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium lactis and Lactococcus lactis are proven bacterial strains that ensure healthy and species-rich bacterial diversity. The mixture of these prebiotics and high-dose probiotics is called a synbiotic. It is important to note that the synbiotic should not exceed a temperature of 40°C. In practice, this means that the vial is first brought to drinking temperature and only then is the colomed® Probiokids added.
One sachet of colomed® Probiokids contains at least 1 billion bacteria capable of reproduction per human bacterial strain (3 billion in total):
- Bifidobacterium bifidum
- Bifidobacterium lactis
- Lactococcus lactis
The most important prerequisite for the effectiveness of a probiotic is that a sufficiently high number of bacteria survive the passage through the stomach and reach the intestine in an active form. Normally, the sensitive bacteria are quickly inactivated in the acidic environment of the stomach. However, the special production of the bacteria (cryo-protection) prevents inactivation.
High-quality bacterial strains - protection against stomach and bile acids
The bacterial strains used are protected from external environmental influences by special organic compounds with so-called cryo-protectors. High temperatures, moisture, interactions with other nutrients and above all the production of gastric and bile acids in the digestive tract often lead to inactivation of the bacterial strains. colomed® Probiokids' special manufacturing process protects the bacterial strains from these environmental influences and guarantees a high availability of live microorganisms in the intestine.
Prebiotic Nutriose®
The prebiotic Nutriose® (maize dextrin) is used to support the colonisation of bacterial strains. Thanks to its special processing, this maize dextrin is resistant to digestive enzymes and is available to the bacterial strains in its entirety as a food source.

Directions for use
- Adults from the 3rd trimester: Stir 1 sachet into lukewarm water once a day and drink.
- Babies: Stir 1/2 sachet into bottle food (below 40°C) once a day and drink.
- Tips: Can be consumed immediately after dissolving (without standing time). The bacteria are released and activated in the small intestine (site of action).
- Suitable for diabetics.
Tips for taking compact:
- Period of use: 3rd trimester to the age of 1 year.
- Instructions for use: Do not take with alcohol or caffeine, only suspend in lukewarm water, mix in a bottle below 40°C for the baby.
- In case of immunosuppression and autoimmune diseases, it is not recommended to take it and a doctor should be consulted.
