colomed® 6 was developed for the targeted supply of natural bacterial strains.
High-quality bacterial strains in colomed® 6:
The bacterial strains used are protected from external environmental influences by a special manufacturing process known as "dual-coating". High temperatures, moisture, interactions with other nutrients and, above all, the production of gastric and bile acids in the digestive tract are parameters that often lead to inactivation of the bacterial strains . The special manufacturing process of colomed® 6 protects the bacterial strains from these environmental influences and guarantees a high availability of living microorganisms in the intestine.
Properties
colomed® 6 powder contains 6 bacterial strains capable of reproduction for targeted daily supplementation. The prebiotic Nutriose® (dextrin) in combination with the enzyme amylase serves as a readily available food source for the bacterial strains in the intestine.
One portion (=1 teaspoon) of colomed® 6 contains 2 billion bacteria capable of reproduction:
- Lactobacillus casei
- Bifidobacterium animalis
- Lactococcus lactis
- Enterococcus faecium
- Lactobacillus acidophilus
- Lactobacillus salivarius
The balance of the intestinal microbiota (= totality of microorganisms/bacteria in the intestine) can be upset by infections, antibiotic therapy and other factors. An imbalance can be restored or eliminated with the help of bacterial strains that occur naturally in the intestine.
Prebiotic Nutriose®
The prebiotic is used to support the colonisation of bacterial strains. The special processing of the dextrin (= fibre) is resistant to the digestive enzymes in the stomach and is therefore available in its entirety as a food source for the bacterial strains.
Amylases
Are enzymes for the breakdown of polysaccharides and are used in colomed® 6 to support the breakdown of dextrin (Nutriose®) as a food source for the bacterial strains it contains.
Dosage form
powder
Directions
- Stir 1 teaspoon (≈2 g) into 1/8 litre of water once a day and drink.
- Tips: colomed® 6 can be taken in parallel with antibiotic therapy. Please allow a time interval of 2 hours between taking the antibiotic and colomed® 6. It is recommended to continue taking colomed® 6 for a few days after the end of antibiotic therapy.
