Diatomaceous earth consists of the ground skeletons of fossilised diatoms, the so-called 'diatoms'. These skeletons consist of silicon oxide. The use of diatomaceous earth as a natural raw material is becoming increasingly important. Its absorptive capacity is used wherever liquid or moisture needs to be bound.

Diatomaceous earth is also authorised for use in animal feed in accordance with EU regulations for all animal species. This means that it is extremely safe to use in the immediate vicinity of animal feed.

Kieselgur Liquid Powder is characterised by its good water miscibility and thus allows dust-free application. Due to its specific, rapid drying, its effectiveness is fully maintained. Kieselgur Liquid Powder cannot be overdosed. The quantity applied to the required areas depends on the nature of the material. A light-coloured coating should be visible everywhere on the treated surfaces.

Directions for use

• Application recommendation: Mix 1 part Kieselguhr Liquid Powder with 3 parts water (by volume). Then apply liberally to the affected areas with a brush or apply in a spray bottle or garden sprayer (coarse nozzle, e.g. 0.5 mm), stirring the mixture well again and again. In this way, stables or plants can be sprayed directly. The treated area should be completely covered with a diatomaceous earth film. Powder residues can be brushed off after application and reused or removed with a hoover. Diatomaceous earth must be stored and applied dry, otherwise it will not be effective.
• Depending on requirements, 10-20 g Kieselgur Liquid Powder/m² (= 1-2 kg/100 m²) should be applied. Accordingly, 1 kg of the product mixed with water is sufficient for approx. 12.5-25 m².
• All commercially available, pressurised hand or backpack sprayers are suitable for application. The sprayers should be thoroughly cleaned with water immediately after use to prevent the sprayer from clogging (if necessary, remove all individual parts of the sprayer and clean separately).
• Close the packaging tightly after use. Can be stored indefinitely in a dry place. Caution: Light-coloured materials may become discoloured! Please test in a concealed place before use.
