Natural source of calcium for a needs-based supply when feeding raw meat, powder

Lithothamnium calcareum is a living rock algae with a red colour that turns white when dried. As a 100% purely natural substance, it has a high content of trace elements and calcium. This makes it ideal for covering individual calcium requirements and balancing out the excess phosphorus that must be taken into account when barfing.

Directions for use

• Feeding recommendation: To neutralise the excess phosphorus in fresh meat, the following amount is required per 500 g of meat: Beef without fat / beef heart / turkey meat: approx. 3.5 g. Beef head meat / horse meat: approx. 3 g. Beef rumen: approx. 0.75 g. 1 half teaspoon corresponds to approx. 2.7 g. Please note that this information only serves to neutralise the excess phosphorus in raw meat.
• The daily requirement of calcium is approx. 50-90 mg Ca/kg body weight. Pregnant and lactating bitches and growing puppies require up to 180 mg Ca/kg body weight. 1 g of algae lime contains approx. 330 mg calcium.
