Fit-BARF Vegetables (TCVM) is a grain-free alternative and brings not only variety but also balance to the barf feed plan. In contrast to the Western way of thinking, food is not only judged according to vital substances or its origin, but also according to its warming effect and the 5 elements: Wood, fire, earth, metal, water. Foods as well as herbs are assigned to a specific functional circle according to their energetic effect, temperature behaviour, colour, taste and smell.

Jerusalem artichoke

• chinese point of view: Element: earth, thermic: neutral, organ reference: spleen, stomach, liver, gall bladder, intestine
• western view: Vit. A, B1, B6, C, H, manganese, copper, magnesium, selenium, zinc and iron make the Jerusalem artichoke tuber a valuable ingredient, in addition to its high inulin content, in order not to overload the sugar metabolism and at the same time to promote digestion.

Carrot

• chinese view: Element: earth, thermic: neutral, strengthen the spleen qi
• western view: Carrots contain a high proportion of carotene, biotin, iron, calcium, vitamins B1, B2, B6; E and C as well as zinc, potassium, magnesium and phosphorus.

Beetroot

• western view: high content of vitamin B, potassium, folic acid and iron

Linseed

Feeding recommendation: replace the usual daily amount of vegetables with:

• Cats/small dogs 1 scoop
• Medium dogs 2 scoops,
• Large dogs 3 measuring spoons
