apriwell butyzol® capsules, 60 ST

apriwell butyzol® capsules are a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet) for dietary management of irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulosis, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, containing microencapsulated sodium butyrate.

Noticeable strength from within

Butyzol contains butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid that is naturally produced by our beneficial gut bacteria. However, research shows that in inflammatory bowel diseases there is a deficiency of butyrate and the butyrate balance is disrupted. Butyzol can specifically counteract this deficiency.

Proven efficacy

The efficacy of Butyzol has been demonstrated in several clinical trials. Furthermore, butyrate itself has shown promising results in almost 30 clinical trials for irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, traveller’s diarrhoea, pouchitis and radiation proctitis, and is^{currently being} actively^researched for other conditions4.

Directions for use

Adults: Take one capsule in the morning and one in the evening, without chewing, with plenty of liquid, either with or after a meal. Treatment should be continued for at least 3 months.

Ingredients

• Ingredients: Sodium butyrate in a micro-coating of mono- and diacylglycerol; capsule (coating agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose); anti-caking agents: rice flour, maize dextrin.
• Nutritional values per daily dose (2 capsules): Energy 15.2 kJ / 3.6 kcal, Fat 0.1 g - of which saturated fatty acids 0.1 g, Carbohydrates 0.6 g - of which sugars 0 g, protein 0 g, salt 0.1 g, fibre < 0.1 g, sodium butyrate 600 mg – of which butyrate 480 mg.
