apriwell butyzol® capsules are a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet) for the dietary management of irritable bowel syndrome, diverticula, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis with microencapsulated sodium butyrate.

Tangible power from the inside

Butyzol contains butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid that is naturally produced by our good intestinal bacteria. However, studies show that in inflammatory bowel diseases there is a lack of butyrate and the butyrate balance is disturbed. Butyzol can specifically compensate for this deficiency.

Confirmed efficacy

The efficacy of butyzol has been proven in several clinical studies. In addition, butyrate itself has shown promising results in almost 30 clinical studies in irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, traveller's diarrhoea, pouchitis and radiation proctitis and is being actively researched in other ^diseases4.

Directions

Adults: Take one capsule daily in the morning and one in the evening, unchewed, with plenty of liquid with or after a meal. The capsules should be taken for at least 3 months.

Ingredients

• Ingredients: Sodium butyrate in mono- and diacylglycerol microcoating; capsule (coating agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose); anti-caking agents: rice flour, maize dextrin.
• Nutritional values per daily dose (2 capsules): Energy 15.2 kJ / 3.6 kcal, fat 0.1 g - of which saturated fatty acids 0.1 g, carbohydrates 0.6 g - of which sugar 0 g, protein 0 g, salt 0.1 g, dietary fibre < 0.1 g, sodium butyrate 600 mg - of which butyrate 480mg.
