anatis Ankaflavin+Monascin from red rice +ExoBDNF® capsules are a food supplement with a patented red rice extract (Ankascin® 568) of monascin and ankaflavin. Combined with ExoBDNF® and anthocyanins.

The traditional Chinese red mould rice ("red rice") has so far been popular due to the similarity of its ingredient monacolin K to the statin drug group. However, there are efforts to ban this ingredient for food supplements in the EU, as is already the case in the USA. There, only red rice without monacolin K is permitted and red rice with ankaflavin and monascin (Ankascin® 568) is the only product to have been authorised by the FDA to date.

It is obtained by treating cooked white rice in a closed fermentation system with a single red mould strain (Monascus purpureus 568) that has been researched at the University of Taiwan for 30 years. This produces the metabolites ankaflavin and monascin, valuable pigments whose high concentration is responsible for the beneficial effect of Ankascin® 568.

The formula also contains the unique probiotic ExoBDNF®. Its lactobacillus strain Pediococcus acidilactici comes from strictly controlled fermentation. It is also contained in the Korean dish "Kimchi". The recipe also contains the high antioxidant power of anthocyanins from blueberries.

• Ingredients: Monascin and ankaflavin (from red rice Ankascin® 568), bilberry extract, Pediococcus acidilactici*(contains skimmed milk powder, lactose), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (capsule shell).
• Composition per daily dose (2 capsules): Red rice (Ankascin® 568) 440 mg of which monascin 3.8 mg of which ankaflavin 1.7 mg, bilberry extract 25 % 200 mg of which anthocyanins 50 mg, Pediococcus acidilactici* 100 mg. *Pedicoccus acidilatici is a probiotic with 15 mg skimmed milk powder and 2.5 mg lactose per capsule.
