Amino acids are the basic building blocks of life. The body absorbs them from animal and plant foods and converts them into around 100,000 new protein compounds that fulfil a wide variety of tasks. For food supplements, amino acids can be extracted from plants by fermentation. They are immediately bioavailable without first being broken down by the digestive system. Of the total of 25 amino acids that our body needs, we can produce some of them ourselves, but eight amino acids are essential and cannot be stored for long periods of time. Amino acids should be available in the right proportions and without gaps on a daily basis, especially when there is an increased requirement. Additionally with L-glutamine.
