The most common reason for digestive disorders in guinea pigs and rabbits is feeding errors. A lack of raw fibre in particular leads to a lack of tooth abrasion and dysbiosis, which can result in diarrhoea, constipation and tympania. In addition, wild herbs, which naturally stimulate digestion, are rarely fed.

RodiCare® basic is a pellet feed specially formulated for guinea pigs and rabbits. Its high crude fibre content promotes digestive activity and forms the nutritional basis for the vital intestinal flora.

RodiCare® basic contains all essential vitamins and minerals. With its high vitamin C content, it ensures an adequate supply even for guinea pigs that are temporarily deprived of fresh food. In addition

RodiCare® basic supplements the mostly herb-poor diet with a specially balanced herbal mixture that promotes digestion and stimulates the appetite.

A very high crude fibre content is the basis for maintaining the intestinal flora and promotes intestinal peristalsis.
Quickly available energy ensures that the sensitive energy metabolism in the liver is maintained.
Vitamins and minerals prevent nutritional and disease-related deficiencies.
Fenugreek seeds, calamus root and curcuma stimulate appetite and digestive activity.
Camomile flowers, peppermint, fennel and caraway seeds as well as liquorice supplement the food with valuable secondary plant substances.

Directions for use

Feeding recommendation:

Guinea pigs: Adult animals receive approx. 30 g / day (1 1/2 scoops).
Dwarf rabbits: Adult animals receive approx. 50 g / day (2 1/2 scoops).

The required feeding quantity may vary depending on the species, weight, age and condition of the animal. The exact amount should be determined after observation or consultation with the vet.

Recommended feeding period: At least 20 - 30 days. RodiCare® basic can also be used permanently as a supplement to high-quality hay and fresh feed.

Advice: In addition, fresh water and high-quality hay should always be freely available. Any sudden change of feed should be avoided! Any additional fresh feed offered should be as rich in structure as possible and initially only fed in very small quantities, which are gradually increased.
