alfavet EffyLyt effervescent tablets are the ideal feed supplement to quickly supply suckling calves and piglets with important electrolytes such as sodium and potassium as well as immediately available lactose energy. The tasty, fast-dissolving tabs support young animals in the first few days of life and promote hydration and vitality.

Fast-dissolving effervescent tablets for the preparation of a tasty and energising electrolyte solution

• Sodium bicarbonate with buffering properties, sodium chloride and potassium chloride are quickly available electrolytes.
• Citric acid, as an important building block in the metabolism (citrate cycle) and water support the compensation of an individually increased nutrient requirement in the event of fluid loss (e.g. sweating, diarrhoea etc.).
• Lactose provides quickly available energy.

Newborn calves and piglets are very sensitive in the first few days of life and have hardly any reserves to compensate for fluid loss on their own. It is therefore particularly important to offer sufficient amounts of fluids, nutrients such as energy and electrolytes in the first phase of life, ideally ad libitum or in the form of intermediate feeds from a teat bucket.

EffyLyt are fast-dissolving effervescent tablets with lactose to provide energy, electrolytes, flavourings to stimulate the appetite and buffer substances that dissolve immediately in warm water. Pure or mixed in a 1:1 ratio with milk / MAT, the solution can prevent nutrient deficiencies in newborn babies at an early stage. A particularly good palatability is very important so that even weakened animals like to drink the nutrient solution.

Directions for use

• 1 effervescent tablet (50 g) / 1 litre of lukewarm water.
• Suckling calf / suckling piglet: Dissolve one effervescent tablet in 1 litre of 37 °C warm water 1 - 3 times a day as required. Offer this solution freshly mixed pure or diluted 1:1 with milk/MAT as a drinker.
• This feed supplement may only be fed to young animals with up to 18 % of the daily ration of ad libitum drink. The simultaneous use of different organic acids or their salts is contraindicated if the maximum permitted level for one or more of them has been reached or almost reached. It is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian before feeding.
• Recommended feeding duration: As required, usually 1 - 4 days.

• Advice: This product is not intended to be used as a sole drinker, but as a supplementary feed in addition to the milk drinker. Store in a cool, dry place. The shelf life guarantee only applies to unopened containers when stored in a cool, dry place. Use after opening.
