The green-lipped mussels for the ZeinPharma® capsules come from the home country of green-lipped mussels, New Zealand. Here the Perna canaliculusaus (green-lipped mussel) has been used for centuries by the indigenous Maori people for nutrition. The delicacy has spread around the world. Today, around 10 per cent of the entire annual harvest is used for pharmaceutical products and food supplements.
The meat used comes from green-lipped mussels from controlled cultivation, directly from the seawater. The mussels grow up to 25 centimetres long in the one and a half to two years in which they are cultivated, giving them enough time to absorb valuable nutrients from the sea. For your safety, regular inspections are carried out to ensure compliance with the strict guidelines.

Through freeze-drying and gentle processing, ZeinPharma® can offer you a product rich in GAG (glucosamine glcans) and omega-3 fatty acids. This type of processing offers you a richer product than is the case with dried green-lipped mussel meat, as the active ingredients are not fully preserved during drying.
The green-lipped mussel capsules from ZeinPharma® contain an extract ratio of 6:1, which means that one part powder is obtained from 6 parts green-lipped mussel. With the recommended consumption of three capsules you consume 9000 mg green-lipped mussel, the recommendation is 1500 milligrams.
The product has also been tested for microorganisms in order to exclude contamination with salmonella and similar sources of danger.
