The Wellion SENSOR Transmitter acts as a data transmitter, sending the readings from the Wellion SENSOR to the Wellion SENSOR Aidex app or the Wellion SENSOR PDAs.
The Wellion SENSOR Transmitter has a guaranteed service life of 4 years. This means that, unlike the Wellion SENSOR, it does not need to be replaced every 10 days. However, it is important that the transmitter is disconnected in the Wellion Aidex SENSOR app or on the Wellion SENSOR PDA when the sensor is removed.
If the distance between the Wellion SENSOR and the device receiving the data is too great, the data is stored and logged as soon as the Wellion SENSOR is back within range.

The Wellion SENSOR is a system for continuous glucose monitoring (CGM).
The system consists of three parts, all of which are necessary to read your glucose levels in real time.
- Wellion SENSOR Base: This contains the sensor thread that measures the tissue glucose level
- Wellion SENSOR Transmitter: This transmits the readings from the sensor thread. The Wellion SENSOR Transmitter is part of the Wellion SENSOR CGM system and can only be used in combination with a Wellion SENSOR Base.
- Wellion AiDEX SENSOR app: The app receives the readings from the transmitter and is used to view the data. The app is available for Android and iOS.
