How to use
- Remove a Wellion NEWTON blood glucose test strip from the test strip container and close it again immediately. Insert the test strip into the meter to switch it on. You will see the "Glu" symbol on the display, the flashing blood drop symbol.
- Press the lancing device (with a fresh lancet) against the side of your fingertip and press the release button to prick and collect the drop of blood.
- Now hold the tip of the test strip at a slight angle in the blood sample. The test strip sucks in the blood like a straw. The meter starts the countdown as soon as there is enough blood for the measurement. After 5 seconds, the measurement result is shown on the display. The result is automatically stored in the memory.
- Do not use expired test strips. Check the expiry date printed on the test strip container and the packaging.
- Close the test strip container IMMEDIATELY after removing a test strip to protect the remaining test strips from humidity.
- Use test strips immediately after removing them from the can.
- Do not use wet or damaged test strips.
- Avoid direct sunlight and heat.
- Store the test strips in a dry, cool environment (not in the bathroom).
- Note the opening date on the label of the test strip vial. Dispose of the remaining test strips 6 months after first opening.
- Dispose of the used test strip and the used lancet immediately after the measurement.
