Wellion® FRIGO Cool Bags – Quick and easy insulin cooling without a freezer, for when you’re out and about.

Wellion FRIGO is the simple, quick and convenient way to keep insulin, an insulin pump and other medicines cool.

Insulin should not exceed a temperature of 30°C. In summer, in motorway traffic jams or whilst travelling to countries with warmer climates, it has often been difficult to keep insulin cool enough. The Wellion FRIGO bag is the solution. Even at higher outside temperatures, insulin stays cool for several hours up to a few days, thanks to the principle of evaporation. No electricity, freezer space or cooling elements are required.

Wellion FRIGO can be used very easily with just water – time and time again.

To ensure consistent quality and hygiene during frequent use, the inner pouch is treated with an antibacterial coating. This is an additional feature that is particularly important when handling insulin and medicines.

Usage

Here’s how simple the Wellion FRIGO cool bag is to use:

1. Place the inner pouch in cold water for a few minutes, then shake the Wellion FRIGO inner pouch so that the crystals are evenly distributed. Submerge the Wellion FRIGO inner pouch completely in cold water (Large – maximum 10 minutes, XXLarge – maximum 12 minutes). During this time, the crystals in the cooling fins form a gel – the inner pouch becomes thicker. Do not leave the inner bag submerged in water for longer than specified. A small amount of gel may leak out; simply wipe the gel away and use the bag as intended.
2. It is then important to wipe the inner pouch with a cloth to remove any excess water.
3. Place the chilled insulin into the Wellion FRIGO inner pouch.
4. To protect the contents of your handbag or suitcase, place the filled inner pouch into the Wellion FRIGO outer pouch.
