WICK Nasivin children gentle 0.025 % - nasal spray, 10 ML

WICK Nasivin Kinder Gentle 0.025% nasal spray is a medicinal product containing the active ingredient oxymetazoline hydrochloride, for the local treatment of a runny nose (acute, allergic or post-nasal drip). For children aged 6 years and over.

WICK Nasivin Gentle for Children is a medicine for the local treatment of a runny nose. Spraying the solution into both nostrils reduces swelling of the inflamed nasal mucosa and minimises excessive mucus secretion. This enables free breathing through the nose. At the same time, it helps to keep the Eustachian tubes clear and reduces swelling of the throat lining.

Furthermore, the active ingredient has been shown to have antiviral, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

The effects of WICK Nasivin Gentle for Children set in within a few minutes and last for up to 12 hours.

WICK Nasivin Classic is used:

• to treat acute rhinitis (rhinitis acuta), allergic rhinitis (rhinitis allergica) and episodic runny nose (rhinitis vasomotorica).
• to facilitate the drainage of secretions in cases of sinusitis and in cases of tubal catarrh associated with a cold.
• for diagnostic decongestion of the mucous membranes.

If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 7 days, consult your doctor.

Directions for use

• Infants and pre-school children (1–6 years): 1 spray into each nostril 2–3 times a day. Use in children aged 1–6 years is strictly on medical prescription only.
  
• School-age children (6–12 years): 2 sprays into each nostril 2–3 times a day.
  
• Method of administration: For nasal use. Administer into both nostrils. Before first use, remove the protective cap, hold the spray dispenser in your hand and pump several times until a uniform spray is released. The spray mechanism is activated by pressing the finger rest [see Figure 1]. Insert the spray nozzle into each nostril and spray once. After use, clean the spray nozzle and replace the protective cap.
• Duration of treatment: Treatment with WICK Nasivin Kinder sanft should be as short as possible and must not exceed a period of 7 days when used continuously. If symptoms have not subsided after 7 days’ use of WICK Nasivin Kinder sanft, consult a doctor before continuing treatment.
• Notes: Adults, adolescents and school-age children (aged 6 years and over): Other preparations with a higher concentration of active ingredient are available for this age group.

Ingredients

What WICK Nasivin Gentle for Children 0.025% – Nasal Spray contains:

• The active ingredient is: oxymetazoline hydrochloride. 1 ml of solution contains 0.25 mg of oxymetazoline hydrochloride. One spray contains approx. 45 microlitres of solution = 11 micrograms of oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
• The other ingredients are: citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate dihydrate, glycerol 85% and purified water. No preservatives.
