WICK Nasivin Classic gentle 0.05 % - nasal spray, 10 ML

WICK Nasivin Classic gentle 0.05 % nasal spray is a medicine with the active ingredient: oxymetazoline hydrochloride, for the topical treatment of the common cold (acute, allergic or runny nose).

By spraying the solution into both nostrils, the inflamed nasal mucosa swells and the excessive secretion is reduced. This allows free breathing through the nose. At the same time, the ear trumpets are kept clear and the pharyngeal mucosa is decongested.

The active ingredient has also been shown to have antiviral, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

The effect of WICK Nasivin Classic gentle starts within a few seconds (average onset of action of 25 seconds) and lasts for up to 12 hours on average. It has been shown that treatment with WICK Nasivin Classic gentle leads to a reduction in the duration of rhinitis from an average of 6 days to 4 days compared to the use of a physiological saline solution.

WICK Nasivin Classic is used

• for the treatment of acute rhinitis (rhinitis acuta), allergic rhinitis (rhinitis allergica) and runny nose (rhinitis vasomotorica).
• to facilitate the drainage of secretions in cases of sinusitis and tubal catarrh associated with rhinitis.
• for diagnostic decongestion of mucous membranes.

Directions for use

• Adults, adolescents and schoolchildren (aged 6 years and over): 1 spray into each nostril 2-3 times a day.
  
• Children under 6 years of age: Other preparations are available for this age group with an active substance concentration suitable for this age group.
  
• Method of application: For nasal application, into both nostrils. When using for the first time, remove the protective cap, take the dosing spray in your hand and pump several times until an even spray mist is emitted. The spray mechanism works by pressing on the finger rest [see Fig. 1]. Insert the spray opening into one nostril at a time and spray once. After use, clean the spray opening and replace the protective cap.
• Duration of treatment: Treatment with WICK Nasivin Classic gentle should be as short as possible and must not exceed a period of 7 days if used continuously. If the symptoms have not subsided after 7 days of using WICK Nasivin Classic gentle, consult a doctor before continuing treatment.

Ingredients

What WICK Nasivin Classic gentle 0.05 % - nasal spray contains:

• The active ingredient is: oxymetazoline hydrochloride. 1 ml solution contains 0.5 mg oxymetazoline hydrochloride. One spray contains approx. 45 microlitres solution = 22 micrograms oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
• The other ingredients are Citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate dihydrate, glycerol 85% and purified water. Without preservatives.
