Vliwaktiv® Ag activated charcoal tamponade with silver, sterile, 6.5 x 10 cm, 10 ST

Vliwaktiv® Ag is a sterile, silver-containing activated charcoal tamponade for the treatment of infected wounds. The tamponade consists of a non-woven fabric impregnated with activated charcoal and silver. The activated charcoal binds bacteria and endotoxins, while the silver has an antibacterial effect.

Vliwaktiv Ag combines the odour-binding properties of activated charcoal with the antimicrobial effect of silver. Available as an absorbent dressing and tamponade, the product is suitable for treating critically colonised wounds, infected and/or foul-smelling wounds and wounds with an increased risk of infection.

Areas of application

• For critically colonised or infected and/or malodorous wounds

• As a wound dressing for superficial wounds

Composition: activated charcoal fibre impregnated with silver, polyester/polyethylene additionally in the absorbent dressing: Polypropylene, cellulose, hotmelt adhesive (synthetic polymer with resins and waxes).
