Vitaworld Vitamin D3 Drops 1,000 I.U. are a food supplement containing 25 µg of vitamin D3 per drop.
Vitamin D is the only vitamin that can be produced by the body itself - through exposure to sunlight - and it has many central functions in the body: vitamin D plays an important role in many biological processes, particularly in connection with the immune system, and is part of numerous metabolic processes. However, it must first be converted into a usable form, known as calcitriol (1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol), in the skin, liver and kidneys.
For example, muscles, nerves, bones, intestines and kidneys need the vitamin D hormones converted from this. They influence the calcium and phosphate balance and ensure sufficient absorption and storage of calcium. Vitamin D is important for numerous metabolic processes.
As vitamin D is one of the fat-soluble vitamins that are absorbed together with fats, only small amounts of this vitamin enter the organism in people who eat a very low-fat diet. Our vitamin D3 drops make it particularly easy to cover the daily vitamin D requirement - drop by drop with a pipette. Vitamin D3 drops are therefore ideal for people who do not want to swallow capsules or tablets or take a higher dosage.
They contain 100 % natural vitamin D from lanolin and are free from any additives. Medium-chain triglyceride from coconut oil (MCT oil) is used as the basis for optimum bioavailability and stability.
