Vitaworld Menaquinone Vitamin K2 MK7 all-trans 100 μg capsules are a food supplement containing the valuable vitamin K.

A distinction is made between the two forms of vitamin K: K1 (phylloquinone) and K2 (menaquinone). They are essential, fat-soluble vitamins, although the body can produce very small amounts of vitamin K itself. Vitamin K2 is considered to be the more valuable of the two. On the one hand because, unlike K1, it also has anti-inflammatory properties, and on the other because it appears to have a more important function for the health of bones, cartilage and blood vessels than K1 and is also distributed more quickly in the body.

The K in the name goes back to the medical term coagulation, which refers to the process of blood clotting. However, vitamin K is not only of great importance here; it is also of great importance for bone metabolism and cell growth regulation. In addition, recent research suggests that vitamin K also plays a role in protecting against vascular calcification. Supplementary intake is said to protect people with a low vitamin K status from arteriosclerosis.

Our vitamin K is produced by organic synthesis. The plant-based raw materials geraniol and farnesol are used for this. The advantage of this organic synthesis is that only vitamin K2 MK7 "all-trans" is obtained. This means 100% bioavailability in the body. An undersupply of vitamin K should always be prevented.
