Vitaworld Choline + Inositol 450/450 mg capsules are a food supplement with an optimal choline-inositol ratio of 1:1. Choline contributes to the maintenance of normal liver function and normal fat metabolism.

Choline is a semi-essential nutrient. This means that it is partly produced by the body itself, but not in sufficient quantities. Choline should therefore be obtained from food, and is mainly found in animal products. Choline plays an important role in the body. It is a component of phospolipids, which are needed to build the cell membrane. The best known of these is lecithin, also known as phosphatidylcholine. Choline also contributes to normal fat metabolism and normal liver function. It is also required for the production of acetylcholine. We use vegetable choline bitartrate in our product, which can be utilised very well by the body. This means that vegetarians and vegans can also supplement their diet with choline.

Inositol, also known as vitamin B8, used to be categorised as a vitamin as it has certain similarities with the B vitamins. This fact is now considered outdated, as it has been discovered that the body can produce inositol itself - from glucose. Due to its sweet flavour, inositol used to be called "muscle sugar". Inositol is found in almost all tissues in the human body and is required for the proper functioning of cell membranes and the nervous system. The highest inositol concentrations are found in the brain, where inositol plays a role as a messenger substance.

As both active ingredients reinforce each other, we use choline + myo-inositol in an ideal ratio of 1:1 for our product.
