Vitaworld Astaxanthin 6 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing the powerful radical scavenger astaxanthin, extracted from Haematococcus algae.

Astaxanthin is a particularly effective antioxidant that is often found in algae - in the form of plankton, but also in some fungi and bacteria. It belongs to the group of carotenoids that are responsible for the colour of many fruits and vegetables, from the bright red of tomatoes to the vibrant orange of carrots.

But the real speciality of astaxanthin is that it is a much stronger radical scavenger than vitamin C, vitamin E or other known antioxidants. Natural astaxanthin is extracted from Haematococcus algae, which also contains many other valuable substances such as lutein, beta-carotene and canthaxanthin, some of which further enhance the effect of astaxanthin. These capsules each contain 6 mg of the powerful radical scavenger astaxanthin.
