Vitactiv® Spermidin Plus is a high-quality food supplement containing a valuable plant extract (wheat germ extract), zinc and vitamin B1 to support normal cell division and DNA synthesis.
Vitamin B1 contributes to normal energy metabolism and is involved in
nerve impulse transmission and the metabolism of neurotransmitters. Zinc contributes to the normal
functioning of the immune system and plays a role in cell division.
What is VITACTIV® Spermidine Plus and
what does it do?
VITACTIV® Spermidine Plus contains 0.85 mg of spermidine per
capsule, a compound found in all living cells. Plant-based foods such as wheat germ,
dried soya beans, pumpkin seeds and mushrooms are particularly
rich in spermidine. Spermidine is also found in
animal-based foods,
albeit in much smaller quantities.
It is known that the body’s own levels of spermidine
decrease steadily over the course of a lifetime. Scientific
data suggest that there are various
physiological circumstances that cause spermidine levels
in the human body to rise; these include,
for example, illnesses, as well as repair and
growth processes such as convalescence and pregnancy.
The concentration of spermidine in the metabolism
depends on these activities. A slow metabolism
results in low spermidine levels.
The role of spermidine has not yet been fully
elucidated, but it is clear that spermidine
helps to regulate the process of cell recycling. Recycling is
an essential process that ensures that no more
non-functional cell components or whole cells are broken down
than is necessary. The building blocks produced in this process can be
reused by the body. Scientific publications
suggest that poorly functioning
recycling of old cells and their components is linked
to the development of various diseases
. It has been demonstrated that spermidine is capable of
stimulating an enzyme that plays an important role in the
synthesis of genetic material.
Furthermore, VITACTIV® Spermidin Plus also contains
zinc. Along with a number of other minerals, it is one of the
essential trace elements for the human body.
This means it must be obtained through diet or other means,
as the body cannot produce zinc
itself. Zinc plays a vital role in numerous metabolic processes. Furthermore,
zinc contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, to
normal DNA synthesis and to normal cognitive
function. Zinc also helps to protect cells from oxidative
stress and plays a role in
cell division.
VITACTIV® Spermidine Plus also contains vitamin B1
(thiamine). Thiamine pyrophosphate acts as a coenzyme and
thus supports important reactions in energy metabolism.
Particularly due to the high energy requirements, vitamin B1 is
essential for the heart muscle and the brain. Vitamin
B1 contributes to normal energy metabolism,
normal heart function, normal functioning of the
nervous system and normal psychological function.

- Take 1 capsule 1 to 2 times a day, whole, with sufficient liquid. Suitable for adults and adolescents aged 14 and over.
- Notes: Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Suitable for diabetics. Contains gluten.

- Ingredients: Wheat germ extract with a high spermidine content, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule shell), microcrystalline cellulose (filler), zinc citrate, silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent), thiamine hydrochloride.
- Composition per capsule: Thiamine 0.34 mg (31% NRV*), zinc 3 mg (30% NRV*), wheat germ extract 447 mg, of which spermidine 0.85 mg. *% NRV: Nutrient Reference Values in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011.
