Vismed® Gel Multi, 10 ml

This allows you to use a handy bottle that is extremely easy to use "Just squeeze". The contents of the bottle can be used for three months after opening. Thanks to the innovative dosing model, VISMED® Gel Multi does not require any preservatives and is very economical.

Areas of application

• Symptoms and signs of dry eye and/or damage to the ocular surface as a result of certain diseases, such as superficial keratitis, Sjögren's syndrome or primary dry eye syndrome. For sustained wetting of the eye in case of subjectively perceived dryness as well as burning and tired eyes and other minor discomfort without disease value, caused e.g. by dust, smoke, dry heat, air-conditioned air, wind, cold, prolonged screen work, contact lens wear (hard or soft) or by ophthalmological examination procedures.

Properties and mode of action

• VISMED® GEL MULTI contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural polymer that also occurs in the structures of the human eye. The special physical characteristics of sodium hyaluronate give VISMED® GEL MULTI its important viscoelastic and water-binding properties. VISMED® GEL MULTI forms a stable layer on the surface of the eye, which is only gradually removed by blinking. VISMED® GEL MULTI therefore combines a long-lasting effect with maximum comfort. VISMED® GEL MULTI is extremely well tolerated due to its special composition. VISMED® GEL MULTI is preservative-free.

How to use

Before the first application, the tamper-evident closure on the protective cap must be removed. Remove the protective cap from the container, tilt the head backwards and hold the drip opening over the eye to be treated. Pull the lower eyelid of the eye downwards with the index finger of one hand. Gently squeeze the vial to release a drop of VISMED® GEL MULTI solution (see illustrations). Unless otherwise recommended, drip 1-2 drops of VISMED® GEL MULTI into the eye as required. The solution is distributed by blinking and forms a transparent and durable liquid layer on the surface of the eye. VISMED® GEL MULTI can also be used while wearing hard or soft contact lenses.

Ingredients

1 ml solution contains 3.0 mg sodium hyaluronate as well as sodium chloride, potassium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium citrate, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride and water for injection. The solution is hypotonic.
