Zenifel Spray is a calming spray solution that can be used for short periods in specific areas, for example in transport boxes for travelling or visits to the vet. It contains feline facial pheromones and catnip extract to calm cats when they are under high stress. For quick and effective calming, simply spray in areas where your cat spends the most time under stress

Inspired by your cat's natural instincts, the synthetic facial pheromones in Zenifel Calming Spray mimic those secreted by your cat's glands in the cheek and chin area. It's the substance they rub on objects to mark them as safe and familiar. We've also added some catnip for even better results

As every cat owner knows, cats are incredibly sensitive to their environment. Established habits are extremely important for cats as they provide them with predictability and therefore a sense of security. Most cats exhibit stress-related behaviours such as excessive grooming, scratching, running away, hiding, increased vocalisations, hissing, salivating and urine marking at some point in their lives.

The smallest changes in routine can cause your cat stress, e.g:

• Change of feeding time
• Households with several cats and/or dogs
• Loud noises such as fireworks, thunderstorms and building work
• Moving and settling into a new home and unfamiliar odours
• Being alone (separation stress)
• Large gatherings such as parties
• A new pet or a new person in the household
• Travelling by car or plane
• Visits to the vet or cat groomer
  

Keep the product handy so you can use it whenever and wherever your cat is feeling stressed, e.g. in the carrier, on blankets etc. Allow the product to dry for 15 minutes before allowing your cat into the area

How to use

• Transport box/transport: Spray up to 8 sprays on the inside of the transport box. Repeat this every 4 hours if necessary.
• New animal or new environment: Before you introduce your cat to the new animal or new environment: Spray door frames, corners of large pieces of furniture and room corners approx. 20 cm above the floor. Repeat this every 6 hours if necessary. Repeat the application once a day for up to 2 months.
• Urine marking: Remove all traces of urine and then spray the vertical surface 10-20cm above the floor. Repeat the application every 4 hours with 1-3 sprays if necessary.
• Scratching behaviourSpray up to 6 sprays once a day on the scratched area.
• Stressful events: (weather, visitors, fireworks) Spray 24 hours before a planned event. For unforeseen events, wait 15 minutes after spraying before allowing the cat into the sprayed area(s). Repeat every 6 hours if necessary
• Precautions: SHAKE WELL BEFORE EACH USE. NEVER spray directly onto your pet. ALWAYS wait 15 minutes before allowing your cat into the sprayed area(s).
