Virbac Indorex® Defence Spray is an environmental spray for controlling flea larvae and flea eggs indoors in areas of up to 128 m². It combats flea infestations in the vicinity of pets with long-lasting effectiveness of up to 24 weeks.
Indorex® Defence Spray contains the adulticide permethrin and the insect growth regulator pyriproxifen. This ensures that all stages of flea development are targeted and effectively controlled for up to 24 weeks.

Directions for use
- Not intended for professional use. For indoor use in areas where pets spend most of their time, including pet beds (not for cats), carpets and cushions. Apply the product as soon as the first fleas are spotted.
- 400 ml of the product is sufficient to treat 128 m². The effect lasts for up to 24 weeks. A maximum of two applications per year.
- Clean the area before using the product. Spray onto areas favoured by fleas from a distance of 30 cm until the surface is slightly damp. Spray for 2 seconds per m². Leave the room immediately after application and ensure adequate ventilation. People and pets must not enter the room for at least one hour after application.
- The killing effect begins immediately upon contact with the product. The infestation should be monitored to determine whether the treatment is sufficient. If the problem persists, contact a professional pest control operator.
- Any damp patches caused by spraying will disappear without leaving any marks after a short time. For delicate materials, it is advisable to carry out a test spray on a concealed area.
- Risk mitigation measures: Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not treat large areas. Do not apply directly to animals. No one other than the user must be present in the room whilst the product is being applied. Aquariums must be covered and pets removed from the room. Do not use on surfaces or materials that can be washed with water. Do not use directly on or near food, animal feed or drinks, or on surfaces or utensils likely to come into direct contact with food, animal feed or drinks. Keep cats away from freshly treated surfaces. Due to their particular sensitivity to permethrin, the product may cause severe adverse reactions in cats.
- Hazard statements: Contains permethrin. May cause an allergic reaction. Extremely flammable aerosol. Pressurised container: may burst if heated. Causes serious eye irritation. Very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
- Safety instructions: If medical advice is required, have the packaging or label at hand. Keep out of the reach of children. Read all instructions carefully and follow them. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other sources of ignition. Do not smoke. Do not spray towards an open flame or other ignition source. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50 °C. Avoid inhaling the aerosol. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Dispose of the contents and partially or completely empty containers as hazardous waste.
- IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses, if present and if possible. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: seek medical advice. Pyrethroids may cause paraesthesia (a burning or tingling sensation on the skin without irritation). If symptoms persist: seek medical advice.
- Other information: For resistance management, combine treatment with non-chemical measures where possible. In infested areas, aim for the complete elimination of harmful insects. This product contains permethrin, which is harmful to bees. Use biocides with care. Always read the label and product information before use.
- Warning:
Contains permethrin. May cause allergic reactions. Do not inhale the spray mist! Asthmatics are particularly at risk! Sensitive individuals (e.g. those with allergies or multiple chemical sensitivity) should not use this product.
