How to use
- Ear measurement: The measurement can be taken in the right or left ear. The thermometer measures the infrared radiation emitted by the eardrum and the auditory canal. This radiation is picked up by the sensor and converted into temperature values. The best results are obtained by measuring the infrared radiation in the middle ear (eardrum). The radiation emitted by the surrounding tissue leads to lower measured values.
- Forehead measurement: The thermometer measures the infrared radiation emitted by the skin in the forehead and temple area and the surrounding tissue. The radiation is picked up by the sensor and converted into temperature values. The most accurate values are obtained by scanning the entire area from one temple to the other.
