The active ingredient oxerutin contained in Venoruton Gel reduces the abnormally increased permeability of the small blood vessels in venous disorders and at the same time improves the flow properties of the blood.
As an alcohol-free gel, Venoruton gel does not sting the skin; it is skin-friendly, odourless, non-greasy and has a pain-relieving cooling effect.
What is Venoruton gel used for?
Venoruton gel is used in adults for the local treatment of
- Complaints of chronic venous insufficiency, such as tissue swelling due to fluid retention in the legs, pain and heavy legs, also in connection with long flights [Note: Compression treatment (application of support stockings or bandages) is indicated as a first-line treatment to reduce the risk of a leg vein becoming blocked by a blood clot (thrombosis)].
- Pain after vein sclerotherapy.
If you do not feel better or even worse, consult your doctor.

How to use
Apply Venoruton gel to the affected area in the morning and evening and rub in carefully from the knee upwards, increasing the massage pressure until it is completely absorbed by the skin. If necessary, Venoruton gel can be applied under bandages or support stockings.
In the event of sudden inflammation of the veins (thrombophlebitis), please consult your doctor. Venoruton-Gel should only be applied to inflamed veins and should never be massaged in firmly.
The active ingredient in Venoruton gel is yellow in colour. If the gel is applied in large quantities, yellow stains may appear in the laundry. Such coloured stains can be removed completely by soaking thoroughly and then washing through with a mild detergent.
Use in children and adolescents: No data is available on the use in children and adolescents. It is therefore not recommended to use Venoruton in children and adolescents.
If you have forgotten to use Venoruton: Do not apply twice the amount if you have forgotten the previous application. Instead, continue treatment as usual if necessary.
