The Vagiwell dilators are medical silicone dilators for use during vaginal stretching exercises. Medical stretching pins made of silicone (dilators) for use in vaginal stretching exercises. Vagiwell® dilators are suitable for home and clinical use.

The Vagiwell® Dilators were developed for women who want to practise gently stretching the vagina themselves. The aim of the exercises is to desensitise the vagina by slowly stretching it so that sexual intercourse (again) or gynaecological examinations are possible without pain.

There are various reasons why the vagina may be too tight:
  • Dyspareunia of various causes
  • Vaginismus (cramping of the vaginal muscles)
  • Scarring after an episiotomy or perineal tear
  • After gynaecological operations
  • During and after radiotherapy or chemotherapy
  • After operations with reduction of the vagina and scarring
  • Skin diseases, e.g. lichen sclerosus
  • Vaginoplasty/neovagina

Stretching exercises with the Vagiwell® stretching pins are also useful if gynaecological examinations or the insertion of a tampon are perceived as very painful.

How to use
Starting with the smallest size, the dilator is inserted into the vagina and remains there for several minutes. If one size can be inserted without discomfort, the next size should be inserted immediately. The exercises should be performed in a relaxed sitting or lying position and should be repeated daily unless otherwise recommended by your doctor.
