The Helicobacter pylori self-test detects an infection with Helicobacter pylori bacteria in your stool. These bacteria can lead to stomach inflammation such as gastritis and other conditions of the gastrointestinal tract.

How exactly does the test work?
Helicobacter pylori is a small, spiral-shaped bacterium found on the surface of the stomach and the duodenum. The Helicobacter pylori self-test specifically detects the antigens in your stool to confirm the presence of the bacterium.

Instructions for use
- Wash your hands with soap and rinse them with clean water.
- Collecting a stool sample: The stool sample should be collected using the stool collection pad or in a clean collection container. Please use the stool collection pad to prevent contamination of the sample and ensure that neither the sample nor the sides of the paper containing the sample come into contact with any contaminating objects, including toilet cleaners.
- Carrying out the test with stool samples: Unscrew the cap from the sample collection tube and insert the sample collection applicator into the stool sample at a minimum of 3 different random points. Do not scoop up the stool sample. Securely replace the cap on the sample collection tube and shake it vigorously to mix the sample with the extraction buffer.
- Allow the foil pouch to reach room temperature before opening it. Remove the test cassette from the foil pouch and carry out the test as soon as possible. The most reliable results are obtained when the test is carried out immediately after opening the foil pouch.
- Open the cap of the sample collection tube and snap off the tip. Turn the sample collection tube upside down and dispense 2 full drops of the extracted sample into the sample well (S) of the test cassette. Then start the timer. Avoid air bubbles in the sample well (S).
- Read the results after 10 minutes. Results must not be read after 20 minutes have elapsed.
