Toppoll® is used to treat allergy-related inflammation of the nasal mucosa, such as hay fever or chronic hives of unknown cause. Toppoll® stops allergic rhinitis, quickly relieves itching and has a long-lasting decongestant effect.

The active ingredient in Toppoll®, loratadine, is an antihistamine. Histamine is a messenger substance produced naturally in the body and is also a trigger for allergic reactions. In order to be effective, histamine must bind to special binding sites on the cell surface (so-called receptors). Loratadine occupies these receptors and thus prevents the binding of histamine, thereby preventing or attenuating allergic reactions.

Toppoll® is particularly suitable for treating acute symptoms. The symptoms of an allergic reaction can be combated quickly and long-lastingly with loratadine.

One tablet per day can be taken independently of meals. Toppoll® is available without prescription for adults and children over the age of 13 and is suitable for diabetics (1 tablet contains less than 0.01 BE).

Directions for use

Adults and children over 12 years of age:

One tablet once daily.
A dose adjustment for patients over 65 years of age or patients with impaired kidney function is not necessary.

Children from 2 to 12 years:

With a body weight of over 30 kg: one tablet once a day
For a body weight of 30 kg or less: ½ tablet once a day

Method of administration

The tablets should be taken independently of meals. Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.

Duration of treatment

Take Toppoll for as long as your symptoms persist or as long as your doctor has told you to.

Ingredients

The active substance is loratadine.

Each tablet contains 10 mg loratadine.

The other ingredients are Lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, maize starch and highly dispersed silicon dioxide
