Thorne Betaine HCl & Pepsin Capsules are a dietary supplement containing betaine hydrochloride and lactose-free pepsin.
Enzymatic combination with betaine hydrochloride
Betaine HCl & Pepsin contains betaine hydrochloride from a non-plant source and porcine pepsin. This product does not contain any added lactose.

Directions for use
- 1–2 capsules three times daily with each meal, taken with plenty of liquid, unless otherwise recommended. Do not open the capsule, as the powder is intended to be taken only in capsule form.
- Notes: NOT suitable for people taking H2 blockers or proton pump inhibitors, as these block gastric acid production, or for those with suspected stomach or duodenal ulcers. NOT suitable for people who are allergic to products derived from pigs. Pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as people taking medication, should only take dietary supplements after consulting a doctor.

- Ingredients: Betaine HCl, hypromellose capsule (made from cellulose), pepsin, calcium laurate (anti-caking agent), leucine (lubricant), silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent).
- Composition per 1 capsule: Betaine HCl 500 mg, pepsin (pork) 23.5 mg.
