Thorne Betaine HCl & Pepsin capsules are a food supplement with betaine hydrochloride and lactose-free pepsin.
Enzymatic combination with betaine hydrochloride
Betaine HCl & Pepsin contains betaine hydrochloride from a non-plant source and pepsin from pigs. This product is not diluted with lactose.

Directions
- 3 x daily 1-2 capsules with each meal with plenty of liquid, unless otherwise recommended. Do not open the capsule, as the powder should only be taken encapsulated.
- Advice: NOT suitable for people taking H2 blockers or proton pump inhibitors, as these block gastric acid production, or if gastric and duodenal ulcers are suspected. NOT suitable for people who are allergic to products derived from pigs. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and people taking medication should only take food supplements after consulting a doctor.

- Ingredients: Betaine HCl, hypromellose capsule (made from cellulose), pepsin, calcium laurate (superplasticiser), leucine (lubricant), silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent).
- Composition per 1 capsule: Betaine HCl 500 mg, pepsin (porcine) 23.5 mg.
