The natural deep-penetrating warmth of ThermaCare

ThermaCare heat wraps and patches relieve acute pain in the muscles or tissues of the back or neck. ThermaCare’s patented heat cells generate long-lasting therapeutic deep heat at a constant temperature of approximately 40°C for a period of at least 8 hours. This therapeutic deep heat penetrates deep into the muscles and tissues. Pain caused by tension, overexertion or strains is thus effectively and sustainably relieved.

ThermaCare heat patches and pads heat up automatically and contain no active pharmaceutical ingredients. They can be worn comfortably and discreetly under clothing throughout the day. With ThermaCare, you can stay mobile in your active everyday life.

How is ThermaCare’s therapeutic deep heat generated?

ThermaCare’s heat generation is based on a simple yet effective natural principle: heat through oxidation. The cells within ThermaCare heat wraps and pads contain a mixture of natural ingredients: iron powder, salt, activated charcoal and water. Once the airtight packaging is opened, these ingredients react with the oxygen in the air – this triggers the oxidation process and generates the soothing, therapeutic ThermaCare deep heat.

After a warm-up phase of approximately 30 minutes, ThermaCare products reach the ideal therapeutic temperature of approximately 40°C. Their patented non-woven cover regulates the continuous flow of air and directs the heat straight to the affected area. The therapeutic heat thus penetrates deep into the tense muscle and tissue layers for the duration of the treatment, effectively relieving pain.

How to use

When should I use ThermaCare heat wraps and patches?

As early as possible! The first signs of back pain or tension should be treated quickly, before they start to have a lasting impact on your daily life.

The heat wraps and patches should not be used on diseased, injured or damaged skin, on bruises or swellings, or on areas of the body with no sensation of heat.

Using ThermaCare heat wraps and patches for pain relief is particularly suitable for muscle pain resulting from:

Overexertion and strains
ThermaCare heat wraps and pads can be used for both chronic and occasional pain.

How do I use ThermaCare heat wraps and pads?

Our ‘ThermaCare for Back Pain’ product is a heat wrap. Please do not open the packaging until just before use. Remove the heat wrap from the airtight packaging and place it on your skin with the unprinted side of the heat cells facing the skin – directly on the painful area. Now fasten the Velcro fastening at the front of your body and enjoy the comfortable fit. Thanks to its improved stretchy design, the ThermaCare heat wrap for the lower back adapts perfectly to any waist size.

Our products ‘ThermaCare for the neck and shoulders’, ‘ThermaCare for flexible use on localised pain’ and ‘ThermaCare for flexible use on larger areas of pain’ are heat patches. Please do not open the packaging until just before use. Remove the heat patch from the airtight packaging and peel off the protective film. Now stick the patch directly onto the affected area of your skin and enjoy the comfortable fit.

After approximately 30 minutes of heating, the therapeutic temperature of approximately 40°C is reached and maintained constantly for the remainder of the recommended treatment duration. For effective pain relief, you should wear the heat wraps and patches continuously for at least three hours – and for up to 12 hours for the best results.
