Maca (Lepidium meyenni) is a tuberous plant that grows at an altitude of over 3,500 metres in the Peruvian Andes. It is an important food and tonic for the people living there and helps them to cope better with the hard labour in the high mountains. The Spanish conquistadors transported the root to Europe on ships as early as the 16th century. Maca tubers were so valuable back then that the colonial rulers recognised them as a regular means of payment.

In Peru, the maca root has been regarded for centuries as a vegetable that makes you "strong for life and strong for love".

The Nutri Store Maca Powder contains 100 % pure maca powder from controlled organic cultivation. It is suitable for revitalising, refreshing and mobilising life reserves, especially during professional and sporting activities.
