How can I use organic peppermint oil?
Organic peppermint oil should always be diluted before application to the skin, and contact with the eyes or mucous membranes should be avoided. For soothing aromatherapy for the skin, for example, 8–10 drops of TAOASIS organic peppermint oil can be diluted with 50 ml of almond oil and gently massaged in. To make a peppermint compress, simply mix 2 drops of organic peppermint oil in a small bowl with cold water and ice cubes. Then dip a small towel into the mixture, wring it out and place it either on the back of your neck or on your forehead. Organic peppermint oil also blends perfectly with Siam benzoin, lemon, eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary and tea tree.
Peppermint oil as a room fragrance
Used as a room fragrance, peppermint oil brings a sense of vitality, freshness and clarity to your home. It is therefore particularly useful for mental exhaustion and overwork, helping you to feel more clear-headed and able to concentrate better. Generally speaking, there is evidence to suggest that the properties of organic peppermint oil can have a wide range of effects in aromatherapy – but above all, it is stimulating, aids concentration and is invigorating.
How does organic peppermint oil work?
In specialist aromatherapy literature, organic peppermint oil is credited with one property in particular that sets it apart from all other essential oils: it can act on our temperature-sensitive nerves, which, following topical application, is noticeable as a distinct sensation of coolness. Consequently, its effects become apparent due to the warming sensation. Many customers buy organic peppermint oil to treat sore muscles and insect bites, placing their trust in the power of peppermint – a true all-rounder.

Usage
- For specialised aromatherapy skincare, use only in diluted form, e.g. 8–10 drops in 50 ml of TAOASIS almond oil for a soothing aromatherapy massage.
- INCI Note: Essential oils are composed of a multitude of individual components. Substances such as limonene and linalool are completely natural components of the essential oil; they are not added. However, they are among the 26 allergenic fragrances subject to declaration and must therefore be listed separately, as some people may be allergic to individual ingredients. In the INCI, a ‘parfum’ refers to a blend of various essential oils when we wish to keep the exact composition a trade secret. All our products are free from synthetic substances!
- Organic/Demeter note: As we sell natural products, the availability of raw materials is subject to natural fluctuations. If, due to circumstances beyond our control, only a limited quantity of Demeter oil can be produced and this quantity sells out before the next harvest, we will, in these rare cases, supply an organic-quality alternative.
- Notes: Do not use essential oils undiluted. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
