The sterile Suprasorb® X HydroBalance wound dressing supports moist wound healing and promotes an optimal healing environment. Provides optimum moisture balance and protects the wound.

Suprasorb X is a moisture-regulating wound dressing for non-infected wounds. Thanks to the unique structure of the biosynthetic HydroBalance fibres, moisture is released into the wound or excess exudate is absorbed, depending on the condition of the wound. This reduces pain for the patient without pharmacological additives and improves quality of life.

The elastic and structurally stable material of Suprasorb X allows easy adaptation to any wound shape and depth and is therefore particularly suitable for areas of the body that are difficult to treat.

Suprasorb X simplifies wound care through a wide range of applications and ensures better cosmetic results (scarring).

Areas of application

For the treatment of non-infected wounds with low to medium exudation, superficial or deep wounds.

• Can be used on any wound bed (necrotic, covered, granulating, epithelialising)

Intended use

HydroBalance biocellulose wound dressings/tamponades promote wound healing by releasing moisture to and absorbing exudate from slightly to moderately exuding, superficial or deep wounds.

• Arterial and venous ulcers
• Diabetic ulcers
• Pressure ulcers
• Superficial 2nd degree burns
• Postoperative surgical wounds
• Skin grafts
• Split-thickness skin grafts
• Abrasions, lacerations

Properties

Wound dressing Tamponade sterile

Application

1. Clean the wound to the usual standard and then carefully dab the wound area dry with sterile wound compresses.
2. Apply Suprasorb X to the wound and mould it into place. If using the tamponade, fold it several times and insert it loosely into the wound.
3. Depending on the degree of exudation, secure with a suitable secondary dressing: for non-infected wounds, Suprasorb X with Suprasorb F or Suprasorb P, for example.

Tip: If the dressing dries, ensure adequate rehydration with a contact time of at least 10 minutes before removal.
